This is one of those dreams that I have found difficult to drop, even after nearly twenty years. The precise way of doing this has changed over the years. Sometimes I have tried using PLR content (the online equivalent of a teacher using a text book rather than doing all the work themselves) to set something up online. Other times I have developed plans and tried to get funding for a face to face training programme in a community centre.
The most recent iteration was the result of prayer walking a local community centre. I walked in one room and could “see” six laptops set up on the tables like a classroom. I prayerfully pondered the idea and cqame up with a plan to rent the community centre two days a week. The aim was to help people sell online and to also do things like start a YouTube channel or a podcast. It was a mobile classroom in the sense that it could be packed up in a large box when the room was being used for other things.
That idea did not come to anything. One problem was that those offering the funding said that this was a business idea rather than a means of serving the community. Another is the increasing difficulty of getting access to that community centre.
The dream has not died but it is morphing and changing as things have changed. Time will tell if it finally gets off the groud. The thing is each time I try to work it out carefully it makes it easier to pick up the next time.
