If you have not guessed, my name is Susan Parnaby. The idea of this web site is to give folks an idea of who I am and what I can do in the hope that you, or someone you know, will be able to give me the opportunity to earn some money so I can pay of my debts.
What sorts of opportunities am I looking for?

* I am qualified to teach adults (i.e. those over 16).
* I have taught various IT courses in recent years. (see courses taught page)
* I would like to diversify into teaching topics that relate to home life. These have been developed into two specific strands i.e. living economically and being prepared for emergencies I would like to make online versions of these courses as well.
* I have come up with a series of taster sessions or workshops that are linked to the two strands of household topics i.e. economy and preparedness. These are suitable for a variety of groups of different ages.
* Another avenue is developing courses that mix computer skills with topics relating to home life. Some of the ideas I have had along those lines can be seen here.
* As a member of the APTT, I am able to deliver whatever copyrighted courses they have accredited and have made available for members to deliver. (see APTT page)
* I have worked in a voluntary capacity as a basic skills tutor while taking the level 3 qualifications in both literacy and numeracy. These qualify me to work as an assistant basic skills tutor.
* I have taught A level Religious Studies, concentrating on the ethics and philosophy papers. Some of the topics covered as part of this course could be adapted to create short courses for interested adults.
* I could create web sites like this one, using html and stylesheets. There are no tables anywhere on this site. All the layout is determined by using stylesheets.
* I could research and write up reports on various subjects. I have done a few on topics that have extended my understanding.
* I am trying to set up a business that uses the web site www.lilythepinkcrochet.com

Where can I work?

I live in County Durham, which is in the north east of England. I regularly travel to Teesside and Tyneside for various purposes. However, for some of the things listed above, it might be possible to work from home.
When am I available?

At the moment my timetable is very flexible.
