This is a follow-up to the book Find your Purpose Love you Life. The book is designed for those who are making a fresh start. It is the sort of book that I would have found useful after I got divorced and was trying to work out how to rebuild my life. It would also suit those who need to start again after losing their job. I saw my ex-husband go through that sort of restart three times while we were married. There are others times that are like watersheds in our lives when we need to think about what comes next after a major change like retirement.

I think of it like that we build some kind of structure but then something happened to was damage it or even demolish it. What happens when an earthquake hits? First step is to look after the people as well as possible. After that it is necessary to clear the debris so that the rebuilding can start.

The first thing we need to do is remove the bits that have fallen off or been shaken loose. They cannot be reused as they are and need to be moved out of the way so that the rebuilding can begin. If you tried rebuilding on the lose and damaged bit then it would not be anything like as good as it would be if was built on something that is firm and strong. It might actually not last as long after after the repairs. Far better to clear up the mess carefully before starting again.

The largest part of the book is designed to help you clear up the mess in the expectation that this will make it easier to excavate the passions and experiences that will make it easier to work out what to build next time. That will help you build something new that is better than the old.

After that comes the questionnaires. What are your strengths? What are your passions? How have you designed or prepared for some particular task? The one thing that has unsettled me ever since I wrote that book is what happens once you have gathered all that information? What happens to those who get that far and cannot go any further? The answer is follow up support in the form of coaching.
