Thank for dropping by to come and see what I doing. If you are someone who wants to build the Kingdom of God you will find all sorts of helpful things on this site.
What could we build together?
I am a Christ-follower who wants to help build a world that is as close to that which God would like to see as possible. I know that God wants the best for people and will help us do things that are a win all around.
One thing I have learnt is that starting and running a project that serves others aka a community project is an excellent way of doing something to change the world. Even if you do not change everyone or everything in the world you change the world of those the project serves for the better.
Where do you start?
Experience has shown me that the best model uses the acronym h.e.a.l.
You start with a way of gathering people to hear what their needs are. We found a craft group was a good way to do this. Others use a cafe. It is also possible to use a community centred on a podcast or a YouTube channel. Yes the H in h.e.a.l. stands for hearing their hearts.
After comes E which stands for evaluate their needs and endeavour to find a solution. You cannot truly know what their needs are unless you hear them. Once you know their hearts you can find a solution that truly helps them. The better you know them the less likely you are to make a mistake and cause unintentional harm.
The A in heal stands for activate the plan. Nothing happens unless you make a start. God can give us everything you need but unless we step up and actually do the stuff nothing happens. He gives us power and authority to do certain things but we have to use it.
L stands for learn as you listen because you love. The only way you will know if you are doing it right is if you listen. When you listen you will learn how to make things better, especially in the beginning. It is important to do this because you love them. BTW remember that it is those who stop listening who are more likely to make mistakes and thus create unnecessary problems.
Seriously folks it is that easy.
Well it would be if we knew and acted upon who the the bible says we are and became the people God wants us to be. OK it is highly likely that there is room for improvement but we can make a start because whoever said we had to be perfect to do great things.
Look at Peter who became what I have heard called the disciple with foot in mouth disease because of the mistakes he made. Yet when it counted on the day of Pentecost stood up and made a speech that changed the world. He made mistakes after that but he also did some amazing things.
We do not have to be perfect but we do need to get out there and do the stuff. On my journey I have made some discoveries that I would like to share with you.
The first step is to sign up for my email list. In return you will get a version of a bible story that will help you t hink about the consequences of NOT accepting the invitation of God to work with Him to change the world. When I first saw this it was wow God really is that what happens.
After that come back and explore this site. There are a variety of tools here that will help you on your journey. Books, courses and more.
